Dear Ascension Family, This coming Sunday is the last Sunday of Lent. In our gospel, you will notice a lot of name-calling. Jesus gets called a heretic, a liar, and even demon-possessed. The passage raises the question: Who is Jesus, and what should we call him? With this Sunday marking the last week of Lent, it is time to start planning for Holy Week. I invite you to consider the Holy Week services and participate in them as you are able. I also want to put on your radar a learning opportunity coming up on Sunday, April 27. Dr. Monkia Hilder, Professor of English at TWU and co-founder of the Inklings Institute will be doing a Scriptorium on C. S. Lewis titled "Easter People in Lenten Lands." Mark your calender and be on the watch for more details. May this season of Lent draw us closer to Christ as we prepare our hearts for His passion and resurrection. Ilook forward to worshiping with you! Fr Ken |
